Final Fight CD is Capcom's Sega CD adaptation of the arcade classic, preserving the series' hard-hitting side-scrolling combat while adding CD-quality music and expanded cutscenes. Players fight through Metro City's streets as Haggar, Cody, Guy, or the bonus playable Sodom. The enhanced presentation and fuller content made it one of the system's most notable beat 'em up releases.

This is a side-scrolling beat 'em up where players advance through linear stages, defeating waves of enemies and stage bosses. Characters can punch, jump, throw, grapple, and use picked-up weapons or healing items. The Sega CD version adds extended story scenes and a bonus arranged soundtrack mode, while the core flow remains focused on spacing, crowd control, and route memorization through each stage.

Haggar

A former wrestler and mayor whose strength and throws make him ideal for crowd control.

Cody

A balanced brawler with straightforward attacks and solid fundamentals.

Guy

A fast ninja-style fighter with strong mobility and quick combos.

Sodom

A former enemy boss included here as a playable character, with unusual weapon-based attacks.

Use throws to break up groups and keep enemies from surrounding you. Grab weapons whenever possible, since they are especially effective against tougher opponents. Haggar is the safest choice for controlling crowds, while Guy can dart in and out to finish weakened enemies. Against bosses, avoid overcommitting to long strings and punish after their attacks whiff.

Sodom is unlocked as a playable character in this version.

Tips

Try to keep enemies near walls or screen edges so they have fewer escape angles.

Tips

Weapons are very strong, so prioritize knives, pipes, and similar pickups.

Tips

Jumping attacks are useful for starting offense without walking into enemy range first.
