Players control a single starfighter at the bottom of the screen, moving horizontally and firing upward at waves of descending enemies. Certain foes can dive, capture, or form attack patterns, forcing constant positioning and timing adjustments. Power-ups may grant stronger firepower or the Triple Fighter setup, which dramatically increases shot coverage. The game also includes Challenging Stage bonus rounds where you score points by destroying neatly arranged enemies under strict timing and accuracy demands. Progress advances through successive waves and stages with increasing enemy pressure.

Stay mobile and avoid committing to one side of the screen for too long. Use stronger forms, especially Triple Fighter, when enemy clusters are dense so you get maximum value before losing a life. In bonus rounds, focus on clean, controlled shots rather than rapid fire. When enemies begin dive attacks, prioritize the ones that can capture your ship or disrupt your formation.
