The game uses a side-scrolling progression format where players move through multi-stage fantasy levels, attacking, jumping, grappling, and throwing waves of enemies. Each hero has distinct reach, speed, and elemental magic, with magic power built by collecting blue bottles. Certain stages feature rideable creatures that provide extra attacks and mobility. Progress is linear, ending each stage with a boss battle and advancing the story through to the final confrontation.

Ax Battler

A balanced warrior who fights with a sword and uses earth magic.

Tyris Flare

A fast female warrior whose fire magic deals heavy burst damage.

Gilius Thunderhead

A dwarf axe fighter with strong close-range offense and high power.

Death Adder

The resurrected villain leading the forces of darkness once again.

Save magic for crowded rooms and boss encounters rather than spending it on small enemy groups. Use throws to interrupt regular foes and avoid getting pinned down. Mounted creatures are excellent for crowd control, but be careful in tight spaces where positioning matters. Against bosses, stay mobile, punish recoveries, and use jump attacks to control spacing.

Tips

Throws are often safer than trading hits when enemies get too close.

Tips

Rideable monsters can clear crowds quickly, but they can also get you trapped in narrow areas.

User Reviews

User Reviews

The magic system and mountable creatures add welcome variety to the combat.

User Reviews

A worthy sequel that feels polished, though it still rewards careful spacing and enemy management.
