The game is played on side-view stages where one or more cavemen must cooperate to overcome gaps, enemies, and terrain hazards. You control individual tribe members directly, switching between them to perform actions such as walking, climbing, jumping, carrying objects, building human ladders, or using tools. Progress is stage-based, with new mechanics introduced gradually through items like spears, ropes, and wheels. Later levels require careful timing, positioning, and using each character's limited abilities in the correct order to open paths and safely escort the tribe to the goal.

The Tribe

A group of Stone Age humans with different practical abilities that must be combined to solve each stage.

Study each level before moving the whole group, because misplaced characters can block paths or create soft-locks. Use human towers sparingly but efficiently, and keep stronger or more mobile members available for rescue or repositioning. Experiment with tool interactions early, since many puzzles depend on discovering how newly introduced items modify movement, access, or object handling. When possible, clear hazards first and maintain a safe route for the slower tribe members.
