Developed and published by Sega, this spin-off turns the Sakura Wars cast into a competitive puzzle battler built around classic Columns rules. Players drop jewel trios, create matches, and trigger character-specific attacks while voiced exchanges keep the pace lively. As a series side game, it is remembered fondly for mixing familiar characters with a fast, accessible versus format.

The game uses a vertical falling-block Columns structure. Players control stacks of three colored jewels and rotate them to align three or more of the same color horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Matches clear space and build pressure against the opponent, while chains and larger clears produce stronger attacks. Progress is organized through single-player battles against CPU opponents, with difficulty and drop speed rising as you advance. Character-specific special moves can change the flow of a match.

Sakura Shinguji

A central member of the Imperial Combat Revue’s Flower Division and one of the most recognizable opponents in the game.

Sumire Kanzaki

A Flower Division member known for her elegant style and strong in-match presence.

Maria Tachibana

A composed Flower Division member featured as a battle character with voiced lines and special attacks.

Kanna Kirishima

A Flower Division member whose forceful personality is reflected in her character presentation.

Iris Chateaubriand

A Flower Division member who adds a distinct personality contrast to the roster.

Build a stable base and avoid stacking too high while waiting for a perfect combo. Keep one side of the board as a safety lane so you can recover from bad drops. Try to set up chain reactions from the center where follow-up pieces are easier to place. When your special attack is ready, use it after you’ve created room, not when your board is already crowded.
